Opening of the Musée du Pays-d’Enhaut and Swiss Centre of “Découpage” on September 15th 2022

After more than 2 years of work and renovation, the Musée du Pays-d’Enhaut and Centre Suisse du Découpage finally opens its doors.
Come and discover this new cultural place in Château-d’Oex.
You can admire, from the inside, the new annex with a large entrance and its shop. A temporary exhibition will take you to the two new exhibition rooms and will make you discover 80 traditional and contemporary “découpages” from the Swiss Association Collection of Découpage.
You can then move upstairs by enjoying the glass elevator and rediscover the Pays-d’Enhaut Museum and its novelties. A children’s area has been created, another area is dedicated to the cutting classes. There’s also a slideshow, a library, a kitchen, a fire place, a vast collection of “découpages” belonging to our pioneers, lacemasterpieces and much more. Would you like to discover them ? Come to the Museum with your family and enjoy the diversity of the areas dedicated to our values and traditions!

The Committee of the Association of the Musée du Vieux Pays-d’Enhaut is pleased to invite the contributing members of the Association du Musée du Vieux Pays-d’Enhaut to the Annual General Meeting.

  • Last Meeting Minutes approval
  • President’s Activity Report
  • Cashier’s report (accounts are available at the museum)

  • Miscellaneous.

After the administrative part, we will remember with pride that the association was founded 1,000 years ago, on March 29, 1922. In this spirit, Mrs. Marina Andres will share with you some of the key events of this century’s existence.

We will then join the museum to show you around the construction site. A friendship drink will toasted.

When is the reopening?

Even as the snow and the cold dampen the work a little, we are counting down to announce the reopening.
Some imponderables force us to curb our impatience. For example, a break in the fresh water inlet line caused flooding and damage to the technical part of our facilities.
However, we can inform you that we will satisfy the general demand of our clients who will be able to cross the entrance of our refreshed museum in the second part of the summer.
There will be an information campaign when the time comes.
If you would like to be personally informed of the progress of the work, you can do so by submitting an email to our mailbox at the following address:
See you very soon!
